Key Responsibilities:
- Create programs for VMC machines using CAM software or manual programming
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets
- Select suitable cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters
- Optimize cycle time while maintaining required quality
- Perform machine setup and prove-out for new jobs
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Monitor tool life and improve machining efficiency
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of VMC machining operations
- Experience in CNC programming (Siemens)
- Knowledge of CAM software such as NX
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge
- Understanding of feeds, speeds, step-over, and machining strategies
Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI / BE Mechanical
- 2-5 years of experience in VMC programming and machining
- Experience in precision machining or tool room preferred
