Key Responsibilities Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for EHV Substation and Transmission Line projects.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and organizational objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct market research and sourcing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation
- Manage RFQs, tendering processes, techno-commercial evaluations, and bid comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements with vendors.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and improved commercial outcomes.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual compliance.
Project Procurement Management
- Ensure timely procurement of conductors, cables, transformers, switchgear, insulators, hardware fittings, and other project-related materials.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Site teams for procurement planning and execution.
- Track material requirements and ensure alignment with project schedules.
Cost Optimization & Compliance
- Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier capabilities to optimize procurement costs.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and delivery commitments.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, vendor agreements, and procurement records.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, spend analysis, and management dashboards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and project records.
Candidate ProfileMandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 11 years of experience in Purchase & Procurement within EPC projects.
- Proven experience in EHV Substation and Transmission Line Projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, and supply chain operations.
- Experience handling high-value procurement and project-based purchasing activities.
