About the Role
GemsNY is looking for a hands-on Cloud / DevOps Engineer to design, manage, secure, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The role will focus on AWS, automation, CI/CD, scalability, security, monitoring, cost optimization, and reliable production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud solutions based on business and application requirements.
- Analyse infrastructure requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Manage cloud servers, networks, storage, load balancing, and databases to ensure performance and availability.
- Collaborate with Development and IT teams to maintain reliable infrastructure and smooth application deployments.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and standard release engineering practices.
- Manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, access control, monitoring, and compliance.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, logs, and alerts; troubleshoot production issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Handle infrastructure provisioning, maintenance, outages, incident response, and recovery.
- Optimize cloud resources and costs while maintaining performance, security, and scalability.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and continuously improve infrastructure, automation, and operational processes.
Must-Have Skills
- AWS: EC2, VPC, ALB, Auto Scaling, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, RDS, S3, CloudFront, WAF
- Docker and containerized application environments
- Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS
- Terraform or CloudFormation
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
- Linux Administration
- Nginx / Apache
- Resource & Cloud Cost Optimization
- Monitoring & Alerting: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
- Cloud Security & IAM best practices
- Incident Response, Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
Preferred
- Experience with high-traffic or e-commerce platforms
- Knowledge of AWS networking, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar
- Understanding of DevSecOps and infrastructure automation
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on engineer who can independently manage cloud infrastructure and ensure it remains secure, reliable, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient, while working closely with Development and IT teams.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per year
