The Carpenter shall be responsible for carrying out carpentry, furniture fabrication, repairs, installation, and maintenance work across the Company's outlets, offices, and other facilities. The role ensures that all wooden fixtures, furniture, and related structures are safe, functional, aesthetically maintained, and completed within the required timelines while adhering to quality and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Carpentry & Fabrication
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair wooden furniture, cabinets, counters, partitions, shelves, doors, and other fixtures.
- Take accurate measurements and prepare materials as per project requirements.
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications where required.
- Carry out modifications and custom carpentry work for new outlets and renovations.
B. Repairs & Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspection of wooden fixtures and furniture to identify repair requirements.
- Repair damaged furniture, doors, locks, drawers, tables, chairs, and other wooden structures.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests with minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain the quality and finish of all carpentry work.
C. Installation & Site Support
- Install furniture, fixtures, signage, partitions, and fittings at new and existing locations.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance teams during outlet setup and renovation activities.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and finishing of all installations.
D. Material & Tool Management
- Maintain and safely operate carpentry hand tools and power tools.
- Estimate material requirements and minimize wastage during fabrication.
- Ensure proper storage and upkeep of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Report damaged tools or material shortages to the reporting manager.
E. Safety & Compliance
- Follow workplace safety practices while operating tools and equipment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during carpentry work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards.
F. General Responsibilities
- Attend breakdown and emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
- Support outlet opening, renovation, and special projects whenever required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI/Trade Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in carpentry, furniture fabrication, or maintenance.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, or commercial establishments is preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong carpentry and woodworking skills.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read measurements and basic technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Basic problem-solving and time management skills.
