We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurance Operations team at MMA, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Associate Director – Insurance Operations (Grade F)
Marsh is seeking a strategic and results-oriented leader to join our Operations team as the Associate Director of Insurance Operations. This key role will be based in Gurgaon and requires commitment to in-office collaboration at least three days a week. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the insurance landscape and a proven track record of driving operational excellence through innovative strategies, effective stakeholder engagement, and leadership in change management
We will count on you to:
Operations Management
- Collaborate with the senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across various insurance processes.
- Support the transformation of operations to meet evolving market demands and client expectations, contributing to Marsh's position as a thought leader in the insurance industry.
- Act as a key contributor in sharing insights and best practices through internal and external forums. Facilitate discussions on emerging trends, innovative solutions, and the future of insurance operations.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across business units to identify development needs and create tailored training programs that empower teams and enhance performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global leadership to foster trust and facilitate seamless communication.
- Oversee the implementation of processes that optimize information exchange among internal teams, clients, and strategic partners.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during operational transformations.
- Develop and implement strategies that prepare teams for change, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement, ensuring alignment and communication among all stakeholders.
- Assist in managing the Cost and Service teams, contributing to the development of both short-term and long-term financial and operational plans.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and alignment of investments with strategic goals.
- Proactively evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback and conduct performance reviews.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by establishing mechanisms for sharing best practices and driving innovation within the team
People Management/ Development
- Collaborate with HR to design and implement a comprehensive Talent Management strategy that aligns with organizational goals, focusing on succession planning and leadership development across multiple teams
- Mentor and develop Team Leaders and Operations Managers, providing guidance on effective team management, conflict resolution, and performance optimization.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes, providing support and resources to team leaders to help them manage their teams effectively.
- Champion initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction, ensuring a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Compliance, Regulatory and Procedural Responsibilities
- Ensure that all statutory regulations and company procedures are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interest of the company
- Appropriate usage of Marsh Specialty’s systems to monitor, record and retain information
- Demonstrate clear understanding of regulatory requirements
- Proactively ensures compliance with regulatory and risks framework
- Adheres to policies, guidelines and operating procedures
- Keeps own knowledge and expertise up to date and relevant
- Identifies and evaluates risks appropriately. Recognizes how own actions impact compliance
What you need to have:
- Graduate with minimum 10+ years of experience in leading team and people management
- Preferred - US insurance industry and process experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Facilitation skills
- Ideate and identify opportunities
- Willingness to work in shifts i.e 1pm – 10pm or 6.30pm – 3.30am or 5.30pm – 2.30am shifts
