Job Overview
We are looking for a Sr. Engineer – MEP Projects responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, Material Requests, project planning and scheduling, and supporting testing, commissioning, and project handover activities for MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review approved/GFC drawings, specifications, and tender documents for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire-Fighting systems.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed BOQs.
- Cross-check quantities with BOQs, tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify material gaps and variation quantities.
- Prepare Material Requests (MR) based on approved TDS and quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate with procurement for vendor selection and timely material delivery.
- Prepare variation sheets with Original PO references, revised quantities, and technical justifications.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team for customer variation claims.
- Prepare project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project with WBS.
- Develop resource loading plans, manpower histograms, and time-phased budgets.
- Support identification and coordination of subcontractors/vendors.
- Prepare commissioning scripts and support equipment commissioning.
- Prepare testing and commissioning documents as per client requirements from L1 to L5.
- Compile commissioning reports and documentation for project handover.
- Coordinate with site teams, customers, consultants, PMCs, subcontractors, vendors, procurement, planning, and other internal departments.
Required Skills
- Strong technical understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire-Fighting systems.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, rate analysis, and costing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Self-driven, motivated, and adaptable to changing project requirements.
Preferred
- Project Management qualifications or relevant training.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
