Product Sales Specialist (PSS)
Job Summary:
The Product Sales Specialist (PSS) is responsible for driving sales, business development efforts for products and solutions within the System Integration business. This role requires a strong understanding of leading OEMs as Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, HP, Juniper portfolio and its applications across industries, with a focus on solution selling and customer success. Candidate must have good knowledge on Enterprise Networking Technologies including LAN, WAN, Datacenter & Unified Communication Technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for products and solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across BFSI, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, and Emerging Sectors.
- Strengthen partnerships with OEMs, partners and build a robust sales pipeline.
2. Solution Selling:
- Understand customer pain points and business requirements to propose tailored made solutions.
- Present and position product and solutions effectively, including Switching, Routing, Wireless, SD-WAN, Data Center, and Collaboration.
- Promote advanced architectures such as SDWAN, ACI, SDA and secure networking solutions.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with OEM account teams, distributors, and partners to maximize alignment and solution impact.
- Work closely with internal pre-sales teams to create compelling technical proposals and presentations.
- Coordinate with delivery and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction post-sale.
4. Technical Expertise:
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of OEM products /solutions, including licensing, warranty renewals, and lifecycle services.
- Stay updated on the latest OEM product launches, certifications, and industry trends.
5. Reporting & Forecasting:
- Track and manage sales performance, providing accurate forecasts and reports to leadership.
- Monitor pipeline health and analyze sales metrics to identify improvement areas.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related fields.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in technology sales, preferably in Cisco products and solutions or similar enterprise networking environments.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of product portfolio (Switching, Routing, Wireless, SD-WAN, Data Center, ACI, Collaboration, AI).
- Strong consultative sales and solution-selling skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects.
Preferred Certifications (Optional):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Cisco Sales Specialist certifications or equivalent.
