Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction materials, equipment, and services required for real estate development projects. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure construction materials, machinery, fixtures, and services required for real estate projects.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and evaluate them based on price, quality, delivery schedules, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and track order status.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement activities to avoid shortages.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and material receipt reports.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project budgets.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic purchase reports.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement software.
