Job Purpose
The Stores Executive will be responsible for managing daily store operations including material receiving, storage, inventory control, material issue, stock maintenance, and coordination with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Project teams. The role ensures timely availability of materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and following company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Receiving & Inward Process
- Receive raw materials, fabricated components, spare parts, consumables, and other materials from suppliers.
- Verify received materials against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and Invoices.
- Coordinate with Quality Department for material inspection and approval.
- Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and update inward records.
- Report quantity or quality discrepancies to the Purchase Department.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records of raw materials, consumables, tools, and finished goods.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, and storage of materials.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid production delays.
- Perform periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Follow FIFO method for material utilization wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper records of rejected, damaged, and excess materials.
3. Material Issue & Production Support
- Issue materials to Production, Fabrication, Assembly, Service, and Project teams based on approved material requests.
- Maintain material issue slips and stock movement records.
- Ensure timely availability of materials required for production schedules.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning teams for daily material requirements.
- Track material returns from departments and update stock records.
4. Dispatch & Finished Goods Management
- Coordinate with Production and Dispatch teams for finished equipment movement.
- Ensure proper packing, documentation, and dispatch processes.
- Maintain dispatch records, Delivery Challans, and related documents.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely dispatch of materials/equipment.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain Store Registers, Stock Reports, GRN Records, and Material Issue Records.
- Update inventory details in ERP / Excel / Company systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Support internal audits and stock verification activities.
- Maintain proper documentation as per company procedures.
6. Store Management & Safety
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the store area.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials.
- Follow company safety policies and guidelines.
- Maintain proper arrangement of materials for easy identification and access.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and consumables are properly controlled.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of stores and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of GRN, Purchase Orders, Material Issue Notes, and Stock Reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and inventory software/ERP systems.
- Strong coordination and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy in stock records.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / Any Graduate in Mechanical, Production, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Stores / Inventory Management.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Fabrication, Engineering Equipment, or Construction Equipment industry preferred.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
