Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Head to lead our field operations. You will oversee execution Teams, Project planning, manage project timelines, work flow management and ensure compliance as per Indian safety standards, and drive profitability. This role bridges technical field excellence and business management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Service Delivery
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of fire fighting, fire alarm, and electronic security projects.
- Monitor project timelines, material procurement, and labor allocation to prevent delays.
- Ensure site team’s working efficiency monitoring and optimum utilization of manpower.
- Coordination with client’s team, MEP Team for execution related approvals.
2. Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Manage, mentor, and schedule project engineers, site supervisors, and field technicians.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify technical training needs for the team.
- Subcontractor management, including vetting, rate negotiation, and work verification.
3. Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Ensure all installations strictly comply with National Building Code (NBC) standards and local fire safety norms.
- Enforce strict on-site safety protocols and zero-accident policies for field staff.
- Conduct quality audits before final client handover and sign-offs.
4. Financial & Vendor Management
- Track inventory levels, minimize wastage, and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with purchase for timely equipment delivery and cost-effective sourcing.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or Fire Safety Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of operational/project management experience, preference with be given to the Fire & Security sector.
Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of Fire Hydrant systems, Sprinklers, Fire Alarm Panels (Conventional & Addressable), Gas Suppression system, Access Control etc.
- Thorough knowledge of Indian Standards (IS), local fire authority regulations.
Soft Skills & Logistics
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Basic Computer Knowledge (MS Office).
- Must possess a valid driving license for site visits with conveyance.
