Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Account Executive to support the Accounts & Finance department of our hospitality and catering business. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, managing receivables and payables, assisting with statutory compliance, and ensuring timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess sound accounting knowledge and be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process customer invoices for catering events and hospitality services.
- Record receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions accurately.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment of accounts payable.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile customer and supplier ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance, including return preparation and documentation.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, and sales teams for billing accuracy and payment reconciliation.
- Monitor expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality, catering, hotel, or food service industry.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP/TallyPrime.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
