Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Halwai Chef for Country Inn Tarika Riverside Resort, Jim Corbett located in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand. The candidate should have expertise in preparing traditional Indian sweets, desserts, and snacks for hotel buffet, banquet, and restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Indian sweets such as Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, Rasgulla, Barfi, Ladoo, Halwa, etc.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and food quality.
- Handle bulk sweet preparation for buffet and banquet events.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
- Monitor stock and daily ingredient requirements.
- Follow hotel kitchen SOPs and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff during busy operations and events.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Halwai Chef in hotel, resort, banquet, or catering kitchens.
- Good knowledge of traditional Indian sweets and snacks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Team-oriented and disciplined approach.
