Role Overview
We're a company with three decades of existence and still growing, now moving at startup speed. One of the most unique roles in that journey is the Career Manager.
Most companies find out their best people are leaving during an exit interview. By then, the decision is made and the offer is signed. We built a different system, one that identifies at risk contractors before they have started looking and intervenes with a real conversation, not a scripted one.
As Career Manager, you manage a live cohort of 180 to 220 technology contractors on our network. You use real time intent signals to identify who needs attention and act within a 48 hour window, because that is how quickly an early signal can turn into a resignation.
What You'll Do
- Manage end to end lifecycle interactions for a cohort of active contractors from onboarding through redeployment
- Monitor intent to leave signals daily and prioritise outreach based on urgency rather than volume
- Conduct retention conversations that are genuinely useful and not routine check ins
- Initiate redeployment conversations well before a contract ends to ensure continuity
- Identify patterns across your cohort and distinguish between individual issues and systemic risks
- Escalate salary concerns, manager related risks, and role mismatches to Client Partners with full context
- Feed pattern based insights back into platform calibration and decision making
Who You Are
- 2 to 5 years of experience in HR, contractor management, employee engagement, or a high touch client facing role
- Strong analytical ability with comfort working through intent scores, attrition trends, and cohort level data
- You use data to drive action, not just reporting
- High empathy with the ability to understand what is being said beneath the surface
- Comfortable handling high daily interaction volumes without losing quality of engagement
- You act within defined timelines and treat the 48 hour response window as critical
- Able to manage complexity across a large cohort without reducing conversations to routine tasks
Education
- Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
