Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify quantity take-offs from GFC drawings for RCC (Mivan), finishing, external development and MEP-related civil works.
- Check, verify and certify contractors' RA (Running Account) bills joint measurements, rate application, escalation, taxes, retention, advances and recoveries – within contractual timelines.
- Prepare client / management billing statements, cost-to-complete and reconciliation of billed vs. executed quantities.
- Maintain measurement books, bill registers and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
- Track and reconcile free-issue materials (steel, cement, etc.) issued to contractors against theoretical consumption norms; flag variances.
- Assist the Contracts team in preparing BOQs, rate analysis, work orders, amendments and extra / deviation item claims.
- Evaluate and negotiate extra items, non-tendered items and site instructions with supporting rate analysis.
- Coordinate with Planning for monthly progress certification and with Accounts for release of certified payments.
- Support final bill preparation, closure of work orders and settlement of contractor accounts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of quantity surveying methods, CPWD / IS measurement standards (IS 1200) and billing procedures.
- Working knowledge of Mivan / high-rise construction items and finishing trades for accurate measurement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), AutoCAD quantity take-off; exposure to ERP / billing software preferred.
- Sound understanding of contract conditions, taxes (GST, TDS), retention and escalation clauses.
- High integrity, accuracy and documentation discipline; good negotiation skills.
Qualification & Experience
- B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in QS & billing (both client-side and contractor-side billing exposure preferred) on residential / high-rise projects.
- Certification or coursework in quantity surveying / contracts management is an added advantage.
