Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer with strong expertise in CorelDRAW, packaging artwork, mock-up development, and printing processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing pharmaceutical packaging materials, preparing print-ready artwork, coordinating with printing vendors, and ensuring compliance with packaging and branding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging artwork for cartons, labels, mono cartons, blister foils, pouches, bottles, tubes, sachets, and promotional materials.
- Create high-quality 3D packaging mock-ups and product presentations.
- Prepare print-ready files using CorelDRAW and other graphic design software.
- Ensure artwork complies with company branding and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with printers and packaging vendors for artwork approval and production.
- Review colour proofs, print samples, and final production outputs for quality and accuracy.
- Modify existing artwork as per product updates, regulatory changes, and customer requirements.
- Maintain artwork version control and packaging documentation.
- Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Production, and Purchase departments.
- Ensure packaging materials meet quality standards and production timelines.
- Support new product launches with packaging development and artwork execution.
- Maintain digital records of packaging designs and print files.
Required Skills
- Excellent proficiency in CorelDRAW.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
- Strong experience in packaging design and print production.
- Expertise in creating realistic packaging mock-ups.
- Good understanding of colour management (CMYK, Pantone), die-lines, bleeds, and print specifications.
- Knowledge of offset, flexographic, digital, and screen printing processes.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical packaging standards and labelling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Certification in Graphic Design is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, veterinary pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or FMCG packaging.
- Experience with packaging development from concept to commercial production.
- Experience in handling multiple packaging projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with barcode placement, regulatory text formatting, and packaging compliance.
