Senior Shopify Developer (Remote | India)
We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Shopify Developer to lead and improve a fast-growing eCommerce ecosystem. This is not a standard “web designer” role — we are looking for someone who understands the commercial side of eCommerce and can actively improve website performance, customer experience, and conversions.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Shopify development, custom feature building, performance optimization, and API integrations. You should be capable of owning complex Shopify projects end-to-end and building scalable solutions that directly impact business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Shopify theme development, customization, and ongoing improvements
- Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile performance
- Optimize product pages, collection pages, cart experience, and customer journeys
- Build advanced custom Shopify functionalities and workflows
- Develop and manage API integrations with third-party platforms and internal systems
- Improve website UX with a strong focus on conversion optimization
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement scalable solutions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver commercially impactful improvements
- Recommend and implement best practices for Shopify architecture and performance

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Shopify development experience
- Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs
- Experience with Shopify Plus is preferred
- Strong understanding of eCommerce UX, CRO, and customer behavior
- Proven experience improving website speed and performance
- Experience building custom Shopify apps/functions or advanced customizations
- Strong understanding of API integrations and backend workflows
- Ability to independently manage and execute complex development tasks
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Candidates who think commercially, not just technically
- Experience working with high-traffic eCommerce brands
- Someone proactive who can suggest improvements instead of only executing tasks
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across teams
