611An Airway Bill (AWB) filing or documentation job involves processing, verifying, and filing essential shipping documents for air freight. It ensures that international and domestic cargo is transported legally, accurately tracked, and smoothly cleared through customs.
Responsibilities
- AWB Generation & Filing: Create, update, and file Master Air Waybills (MAWB) and House Air Waybills (HAWB) in compliance with IATA and airline regulations.
- Document Verification: Accurately enter and verify shipment details (shipper/consignee information, weight, dimensions, and nature of goods) against commercial invoices and packing lists.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise closely with freight forwarders, airline offices, Custom House Agents (CHA), and warehouse teams to ensure smooth cargo operations.
- Compliance & Customs: Ensure that all documentation strictly aligns with customs and aviation authorities to prevent cargo delays or offloading.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor flights, trace cargo departure/arrival statuses, and promptly notify clients or internal teams.
