We are looking for a result-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) with strong experience in the FMCG sector to expand and manage our dealer, distributor, and retailer network. The role involves driving primary and secondary sales, appointing new channel partners, and ensuring deep market penetration across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Expansion & Channel Development
- Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors, dealers, and retailers in the assigned territory
- Develop a strong and scalable distribution network to ensure maximum market coverage
- Build long-term relationships with channel partners to drive consistent business growth
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (primary & secondary)
- Drive volume growth through effective market execution and channel expansion
- Monitor stock movement and ensure optimum inventory levels across distributors
3. Retail Market Development
- Increase retail outlet coverage and ensure product availability (numeric & weighted distribution)
- Execute merchandising standards and visibility initiatives at retail points
- Conduct regular market visits to identify gaps and opportunities
4. Distributor Management
- Manage distributor performance, ROI, and profitability
- Ensure timely billing, collections, and adherence to company policies
- Resolve operational issues and maintain smooth supply chain coordination
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Provide actionable insights to improve market share
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales and market reports

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in FMCG sales (mandatory)
- Proven track record in distributor/dealer network expansion
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Preferred Experience
- Experience in launching new products or entering new markets
- Strong local market knowledge and existing channel connections
- Exposure to modern trade/general trade channels

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹53,890.03 per month
