he Production Officer is responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling daily production activities to ensure plastic products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The role focuses on achieving production targets, minimizing waste, optimizing machine utilization, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor production processes for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, or film manufacturing, as applicable.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and raw materials efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Ensure proper machine setup and monitor machine performance during production.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to minimize machine downtime.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor production efficiency, material consumption, and scrap generation.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain production reports, shift reports, and machine performance records.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Train production operators on safe machine operation and production procedures.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in the production area.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Planning departments for timely availability of raw materials and finished goods.
- Participate in production meetings and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastic Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a plastic manufacturing or plastic packaging company.
- Experience with injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming processes is preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
