1. Job Purpose To coordinate and manage inward logistics operations related to the transportation of milk from Milk Pooling Points (MPPs) to Milk Chilling Centres (MCCs) through Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), ensuring timely collection of milk, efficient route planning, accurate verification of transport bills, and cost‑effective logistics operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
Milk Collection Logistics Management Coordinate daily milk collection through LCVs from Milk Pooling Points (MPPs) to Milk Chilling Centres (MCCs). Ensure timely lifting of milk from all MPPs as per scheduled routes and monitor vehicle movement to avoid delays affecting milk quality and chilling timelines.
Route Planning & Optimization Prepare and continuously update route plans for LCVs to ensure the shortest and most efficient transportation routes. Optimize routes to reduce travel time, transportation cost, and fuel consumption. Review route efficiency and recommend route rationalization when new MPPs are added or volumes change.
Transport Bill Verification Verify transportation bills submitted by LCV operators or transport contractors. Cross‑check distance covered, approved routes, number of trips, and applicable transportation rates. Ensure accuracy and compliance with approved contracts before forwarding bills for payment.
Vehicle & Transporter Coordination Coordinate with LCV drivers and transport contractors to ensure smooth milk collection operations. Address operational issues such as vehicle breakdowns, route deviations, or delays in milk pickup.
Documentation & Record Management Maintain proper records of MPP‑wise milk pickup, vehicle‑wise trip details, route distance records, and transport bills with supporting documents. Update logistics data in ERP or MIS systems.
Monitoring & Reporting Prepare daily and monthly logistics reports including MPP‑wise milk pickup status, vehicle utilization reports, transport cost analysis, and pending or disputed transport bills. Report deviations and operational challenges to the Logistics Manager.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely milk collection from all MPPs
- Route efficiency and optimized vehicle utilization
- Accuracy in transport bill verification
- Reduction in transportation cost per litre/kg of milk
- Proper documentation and MIS reporting
4. Required Qualifications Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Dairy Technology, Commerce, or related field.
5. Experience 2–4 years experience in logistics operations, preferably in dairy procurement or milk transportation.
6. Key Skills Route planning and logistics optimization
- Transport bill verification

- Working knowledge of ERP / Excel / logistics tracking systems

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
