Job Summary
Responsible for the overall management of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely testing, maintaining quality standards, supervising staff, and supporting patient care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Maintain quality control and laboratory records.
- Supervise and guide laboratory technicians and staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory reagents and consumables.
- Follow NABH, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors and hospital departments for laboratory services.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- B.Sc./M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of quality standards and laboratory management.
Skills
- Leadership and team management.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality and safety procedures.
Reporting To: Hospital Administrator / Medical Superintendent.
