Position: Patient Coordinator
Department: Front Office / Patient Services
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Hospital Administrator
Location: Vedansh Superspecialty Hospital & Heart Centre
Job Summary
The Patient Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience by coordinating appointments, admissions, consultations, investigations, and follow-up care. The role serves as a liaison between patients, doctors, nursing staff, and hospital departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Coordination
- Welcome and assist patients and their attendants.
- Coordinate OPD appointments, admissions, investigations, and procedures.
- Guide patients regarding hospital services, departments, and treatment processes.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Ensure timely scheduling and coordination of consultations.
Patient Support
- Address patient queries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Provide information regarding treatment plans, investigations, and follow-up schedules.
- Assist patients with admission and discharge procedures.
- Ensure patient satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Verify patient registration details and required documents.
- Coordinate with billing, insurance, and TPA departments when required.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain departmental records.
Coordination with Departments
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
- Ensure smooth patient movement within the hospital.
- Follow up on pending investigations, reports, and appointments.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to hospital policies, patient rights, and service standards.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NABH guidelines related to patient care and communication.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline (healthcare management preferred).
- A diploma or certification in hospital administration/healthcare management is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital patient services, front office, or healthcare coordination.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and patient-handling abilities.
- Good organizational and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts as per hospital requirements.
- Regular interaction with patients, attendants, doctors, and hospital staff.
- May be required to work on weekends and public holidays as per duty roster.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
