About the Role
We are looking for a senior professional to lead the conceptualisation, evaluation and financial structuring of the Group’s greenfield, brownfield and strategic expansion projects.
This is a high-impact pre-investment advisory role working closely with the Managing Director and senior management. The person will independently assess whether a project is commercially, technically and financially viable and provide a clear Go / Modify / Defer / No-Go recommendation.
We are looking for someone who can challenge promoters, consultants, vendors and internal teams; validate assumptions independently; structure project funding; and determine whether an investment genuinely makes commercial and financial sense.
Important: Subsidies should improve project returns - they should not be used to make an otherwise unviable project appear viable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and evaluate greenfield, brownfield and expansion projects and develop preliminary business cases.
- Assess market demand, competition, pricing, capacity utilisation, raw materials, supply chain and distribution feasibility.
- Evaluate technology, capacity, machinery, infrastructure, capex estimates and implementation plans and challenge overdesign or avoidable costs.
- Compare project locations based on logistics, raw materials, infrastructure, labour, utilities, government policies and expansion potential.
- Identify and assess Central/State subsidies, incentives, tax benefits and regulatory requirements, including realistic timing and recoverability.
- Build/review integrated financial models covering IRR, NPV, DSCR, break-even, payback, ROCE, cash flows and debt capacity.
- Perform sensitivity analysis for capex overruns, delays, pricing, raw-material/utility costs, utilisation, interest rates, working capital and subsidy delays/non-receipt.
- Develop project funding structures involving promoter contribution, debt, working capital and eligible incentives.
- Support DPR preparation, lender discussions, term-sheet negotiations, due diligence and financial closure.
- Manage and challenge consultants across technical, commercial and financial workstreams.
- Prepare concise investment papers for senior management / investment committee.
- Establish stage-gate approvals and monitor approved projects against cost, timeline, funding and expected returns.
Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
