Purpose of the Role
1. Support the Engineer in executing the manufacturing functions of Tool crib for machine shop to produce and supply components of superior quality and quantity at minimum cost and in committed time schedule to meet the manufacturing function objectives
Responsibilities:
Continuously improve processes in section to reduce cost of production and imbibe the culture of cost consciousness
Facilitate internal customer satisfaction by working towards improving efficiency and productivity in operations
Work on timely completion of customer complaint analysis and closure the same with error proof
Check with ERP any previous item no is available for suitable materials
Every month implimented kaizen & 5s Activities
Knoweledge of new technology cutting tools & Inserts
Awareness on GD & T Knowledge
Tools issue and return are maintained through request slip & return slip
Mataining tool breakage slips
Inventry checks month on month and matain optimum stock
Inspect the new tools and accept the same and add to stock master (RT Closing)
Execute the timely processing of the Tools requests from shop floor and prepare tool offset through (Pre-setter) and Tool Kitting for create the move order
Ensure timely return receipt of the Tools with proper inspection
Monitor the worn out tools for initiating the outsourcing process OSP (Tools Re-Grinding)
Adopt and Implement the TQM methodologies
Implement the requirements of ACME among entire Tool Crib function
Ensure adherence to Business Excellence processes in all activities related to the section
Identify potential areas of process improvements and implement it in co-ordination with team
Work with automation team for SMART factory implementation through transformation & INDUSTRY 4.0 techniques
Suggest and use of the latest technologies and tools for all activities within section department
Train apprentice trainees on section process to ensure defect free products
