Sourcing Manager
Position Summary
The Sourcing Manager with 8-10 years of experience responsible for developing and
implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to meet the company's procurement
requirements while optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and maintaining a reliable supply
chain. The role involves supplier management, contract negotiations, cost analysis, risk
mitigation, and continuous improvement of sourcing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet organizational procurement
needs while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Manage the company's supply portfolio and ensure transparency of spending.
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management
strategies.
- Optimize sourcing procedures to achieve maximum efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenditure.
- Perform cost analysis, scenario analysis, and benchmarking activities.
Supplier Management
- Evaluate and develop new suppliers. Visit production facilities and do capability
checks where needed.
- Build sourcing strategies for our key fastener categories, balancing cost, quality,
and supply security.
- Lead price negotiations and frame agreements with key suppliers, securing good
payment terms and MOQs.
- Track suppliers’ performance (on-time delivery, quality, cost, responsiveness).
- Reduce supply risk by developing multiple sourcing channels, and keep an eye
on raw material prices and logistics risks that could affect supply.
Sales Support
- Work with Sales on customer bids, provide fast, accurate sourcing quotes and
alert any delivery or feasibility risks.
- Use your supplier relationships and market knowledge to help Sales put together
competitive bids that protect our margin.
Purchasing Operations
- Work with suppliers on pricing, lead times, MOQs, and delivery schedules.
- Keep an eye on stock levels and work with Sales and Warehouse to balance
having enough inventory without overstocking.
- Handle quality and delivery problems as they come up—be the first-
person to suppliers call when something goes wrong, and make sure issues get
fixed properly.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Promote sustainability initiatives and actively communicate the company's
sustainable value proposition to suppliers.
- Train and guide suppliers on our sustainability requirements. Help suppliers
understand Bufab requirements and support suppliers gradually meet our
standards over time.
- Check supplier practices against our sustainability checklist during visits and
audits. Track their progress and follow up on gaps.
Health, Safety & Quality
- Maintain awareness of and comply with Occupational Health & Safety
requirements in accordance with ISO 45001 standards.
- Actively participate in workplace health and safety programs, including training,
audits, and documentation activities.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply
Chain Management, or a related field.
- Background in Trading Environment/Fastener or General Hardware Multi Variety
components would be an added advantage
- 8–15 years of relevant sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience,
preferably in a multinational organization.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP
systems.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
