Role Summary
As a Interior Designer, you will lead end-to-end design projects — from initial client briefing and concept development through to final site execution and handover. You will be the primary creative and execution point of contact for assigned projects, working closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and junior designers.
This is a high-ownership, client-facing role suited to someone who is equally comfortable presenting a mood board to a client and resolving a site issue with a contractor.
03 Key Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
▸ Lead the design development process from concept to detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
▸ Create mood boards, material palettes, space planning layouts, and 3D visualizations that reflect client briefs.
▸ Develop detailed working drawings, elevation plans, furniture layouts, and finish schedules.
▸ Stay current with global design trends, materials, and emerging technologies in the industry.
Client Management
▸ Lead client presentations and design reviews with confidence and clarity.
▸ Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their lifestyle, preferences, and functional needs.
▸ Manage client expectations on timelines, budgets, and design outcomes proactively.
▸ Handle change requests and feedback professionally while protecting design intent.
Project Execution & Site Coordination
▸ Oversee project execution on-site, coordinating with contractors, civil teams, and fit-out vendors.
▸ Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality of work, material accuracy, and adherence to design specifications.
▸ Identify and resolve site issues promptly, escalating only when necessary.
▸ Manage project timelines and ensure delivery within approved schedules and budgets.
Procurement & Vendor Management
▸ Source furniture, fixtures, lighting, fabrics, and finishes from trusted vendors and new suppliers.
▸ Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), procurement schedules, and cost estimates.
▸ Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
▸ Maintain and expand the studio's vendor and material library.
Team & Studio Leadership
▸ Mentor and guide junior designers and design assistants on projects.
▸ Review and provide constructive feedback on junior team members' design work.
▸ Contribute to studio processes, design standards, and presentation templates.
▸ Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, PMCs, and allied consultants.
04 Qualifications & Requirements
Education
▸ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
▸ 4–5+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong portfolio spanning residential and/or commercial projects.
▸ Demonstrated experience leading projects independently from concept through to site completion.
▸ Prior experience in a design studio, architecture firm, or real estate developer's in-house design team preferred.
Technical Skills
▸ AutoCAD — proficiency in space planning and working drawings.
▸ SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit — 3D modelling and visualization.
▸ Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) — presentations and mood boards.
▸ Microsoft Office / Google Workspace — BOQs, schedules, and reports.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
