About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Manager – UK Accounting to lead our UK Accounting team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in UK accounting practices, excellent leadership abilities, and outstanding English communication skills. This role requires managing a team while ensuring high-quality accounting services and timely client deliverables.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Qualification: B.Com
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UK Accounting
- At least 2 years of experience as a Team Lead/Team Manager in UK Accounting
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the UK Accounting team to achieve performance and quality targets.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of accounting assignments.
- Review bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, management accounts, and financial reports prepared by team members.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
- Monitor accuracy, quality, and turnaround time of client deliverables.
- Coordinate with UK clients to understand requirements and resolve accounting queries professionally.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Train and develop team members to improve technical knowledge and productivity.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare MIS reports, team performance reports, and operational updates for management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of UK Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Experience with VAT, Bank Reconciliation, Financial Statements, and Management Accounts
- Team management and people leadership skills
- Excellent client handling and stakeholder management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good analytical and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar UK accounting platforms
- MS Excel proficiency
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
