Job Summary
This role is responsible for expert-level operations management of complex, large-scale network environments, with a primary focus on Cisco-based LAN/WAN, Wireless WLAN, and SDWAN solutions. The individual ensures service excellence by driving continuous process improvements, resolving high-impact technical issues, and empowering teams through effective leadership. They champion innovation, align operational practices with client expectations, and deliver strategic network solutions that support organizational growth and reliability.
Network Data LAN/WAN SDWAN-\r\n \r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nSD-WAN & Network Management: Design, configure, and manage SD-WAN (Viptela, Silver Peak) and LAN/WAN infrastructure.\r\nTroubleshooting & Support: Monitor and resolve LAN/WAN/VPN issues, including IPSEC, NAT, PAT, and GRE tunnels.\r\nCarrier Coordination: Manage WAN links, coordinating with internet service providers to resolve link issues.\r\nNetwork Security: Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall configurations.\r\nDocumentation: Create and update network architecture, high-level/low-level design (HLD/LLD) documents.\r\nProject Deployment: Lead network migration, upgrades, and optimization projects.\r\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\r\nTechnical Skills: Deep understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, QoS, VLAN, TCP/IP) and SD-WAN technologies.\r\nHardware Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.\r\nExperience: 3–7+ years in network support/engineering roles.\r\nTools: Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., ITSM Remedy).\r\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.\r\nCertifications: CCNP or CCIE preferred. \r\n
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead incident and problem resolution for complex network issues using Cisco LAN/WAN, Wireless WLAN, and SDWAN technologies, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.
2. Oversee network operations by monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing network performance with Cisco Prime, DNA Center, and SDWAN management platforms, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Architect and implement advanced network changes and upgrades using Cisco IOS, Catalyst, and Meraki solutions, ensuring compliance with organizational and client requirements.
4. Mentor and guide the support team in troubleshooting, escalation management, and adoption of best practices for Cisco networking technologies and SDWAN.
5. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into actionable network operations strategies using Cisco and SDWAN toolsets.
6. Drive process innovation by evaluating emerging Cisco networking and SDWAN technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and security.
7. Ensure robust documentation, knowledge transfer, and transparent communication of network operations policies and procedures across teams.
