About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our Service & Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and servicing of Organic Waste Converter (OWC) machines, shredders, composting systems, and other industrial equipment at customer sites across India.
The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with industrial machinery, and willingness to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Install, assemble, commission, and test OWC machines, shredders, and other industrial equipment at customer locations.
- Conduct machine trials, performance testing, and successful handover to customers.
- Support machine modifications, upgrades, and retrofitting activities.
Service & Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of installed machines.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Carry out repairs and replacement of bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, chains, sprockets, belts, pumps, and other mechanical components.
- Perform shaft alignment, coupling alignment, machine leveling, and lubrication activities.
- Analyze recurring machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Customer Support
- Attend customer complaints and emergency breakdown calls.
- Provide on-site technical support and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Train operators on machine operation, preventive maintenance, and safety practices.
- Maintain professional communication and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation
- Prepare service reports, commissioning reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance records.
- Maintain machine history, spare parts usage, and service documentation.
- Submit visit reports with observations and recommendations after every service visit.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow company safety policies and customer site safety procedures.
- Ensure proper usage of tools, lifting equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to quality standards during all service activities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial machine installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures independently.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.
- Good communication, customer handling, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
