Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operations & Contracts (Solar & Electrical EPC)Role Summary
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of solar and electrical projects. This includes managing daily site operations, ensuring contract compliance, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining the project timeline. The ideal candidate will ensure that technical standards are met while keeping the project within budget and according to legal agreements.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations & Site Management
- Day-to-Day Oversight: Monitor daily progress at various project sites (Roof-top, Ground-mounted, or Industrial Electrical works).
- Resource Allocation: Manage the deployment of manpower, tools, and machinery to ensure zero downtime.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all electrical installations (inverters, modules, cabling, earthing) meet the Single Line Diagram (SLD) and structural specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on-site.
2. Contract & Vendor Management
- Contract Review: Interpret and manage EPC contracts, ensuring all milestones are met to trigger payments.
- Vendor Coordination: Negotiate with suppliers for BOS (Balance of System) components and manage sub-contractor agreements.
- Tender Assistance: Assist in preparing technical and commercial documents for new government or private tenders (e.g., GUVNL, MGVCL, or SECI-related projects).
- Claims & Variations: Document any deviations from the original contract scope and process change orders or extra-item claims.
3. Project Planning & Reporting
- Timeline Management: Use tools like MS Project or Excel to track "Planned vs. Actual" progress.
- Documentation: Maintain the Project Master File, including Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Material Inward/Outward registers, and Site Handover documents.
- Liaison: Coordinate with DISCOMs (Electricity Boards) for net-metering, CEIG inspections, and commissioning reports.
