About Directorate of External Relations (DoER):
The Directorate of External Relations is a strategic initiative at GITAM Deemed to be University, which works closely with all academic and functional leaders on campus and our alumni community to forge strong and meaningful relations with industry, corporates, and research leaders in India and abroad.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and own outcomes while drawing on support from student and central teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfort working across external relations, marketing, data, and operations.
- Prior experience in community building, alumni or corporate relations, events, or related fields is a plus.
- Graphic design or basic content creation skills are a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive external relations activities at the Bengaluru campus, building and maintaining relationships with alumni, industry, corporate, and institutional stakeholders.
- Plan and execute engagement activities and signature events at the campus, coordinating logistics, stakeholders, and follow-through.
- Support external-relations marketing and communications, including content coordination, social media inputs, and storytelling aimed at alumni and other external stakeholders, in line with central guidelines.
- Manage data support needs, including maintaining alumni and stakeholder records, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to data enrichment efforts.
- Handle day-to-day operational tasks at the campus, serving as the primary point of contact for DoER on the ground.
- Coordinate and guide the student team locally, and work closely with the central DoER team to align on priorities and deliverables.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
