Job Summary:
The Accountant – Doctor Payout is responsible for managing and processing payments to consultants, visiting doctors, and full-time medical professionals. This role ensures accurate calculation of doctor fees based on agreed terms, maintains financial records, and ensures compliance with hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and process doctor payouts (OP/IP revenue share, procedures, consultation fees, incentives, etc.)
- Verify billing data, procedure details, and revenue generated by doctors
- Maintain doctor-wise agreements, contracts, and payout structures
- Reconcile doctor revenue with hospital billing systems
- Prepare and process monthly/weekly payout statements
- Ensure TDS deductions, GST (if applicable), and statutory compliance
- Coordinate with medical, billing, and operations teams for accurate data
- Handle doctor queries related to payments and discrepancies
- Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records
- Support internal and external audits related to doctor payments
- Generate MIS reports on doctor payouts and revenue analysis
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience in hospital billing and revenue cycle management
- Good understanding of TDS, GST, and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Finance / Accounting
- 2–5 years of experience in hospital or healthcare finance (preferred)
