Job Title: Sample TailorJob Summary:
A Sample Tailor is responsible for stitching and preparing garment samples based on design specifications, patterns, and measurements. The role involves working closely with the merchandising, design, and production teams to ensure accurate sample development before bulk production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stitch garment samples as per tech pack, sketches, and buyer requirements
- Interpret patterns, measurements, and design instructions accurately
- Ensure high-quality stitching and finishing of samples
- Make necessary alterations and corrections based on feedback
- Coordinate with pattern master, merchandiser, and sampling team
- Handle different types of fabrics (woven/knit) efficiently
- Maintain proper fitting standards and garment construction techniques
- Ensure timely completion of samples as per T&A plan
- Operate sewing machines and other tailoring equipment safely
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and stitching techniques
- Ability to read and understand patterns and tech packs
- Experience in handling various fabrics (woven/knits)
- Attention to detail and quality
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of measurements and fittings
Work Environment:
- Garment manufacturing unit / export house
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
