About the Role We're looking for a motivated Equity Research Intern to join our portfolio management and order execution team for a 3-month internship. You'll get hands-on exposure to live equity research, portfolio monitoring, and trade execution — working directly alongside our analysts and dealers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental and technical research on stocks, sectors, and market trends
- Assist in building financial models, valuations, and stock screens
- Support portfolio managers with trade idea generation and ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Assist with order execution — placing, tracking, and reconciling trades accurately and on time
- Track corporate actions, earnings announcements, and market-moving news for stocks under coverage
- Help maintain a database of research reports, market data, and investment theses
- Participate in earnings calls and investor conferences where relevant
- Prepare research notes and presentations for internal review and client communication
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field
- Solid grasp of financial statements and basic valuation methods
- Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with trading terminals or market data tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interest in equity markets, portfolio management, and trading operations
- NISM certification (or willingness to pursue) is a plus, not mandatory
