WE'RE HIRING — Japanese Language Instructor (Beginner & Elementary Levels) JWA Kihon | Remote | ₹30,000–₹50,000/month (Full-Time)
We're looking for a Japanese language instructor who doesn't just teach — but makes students genuinely want to show up every single class.
At Kihon Family, our #1 mission is student completion. We want someone who builds real bonds with students, motivates them through the tough weeks, and walks every step of the 8-month journey with them.
THE ROLE
- Teach 5 batches of 15–20 students each (full-time engagement)
- 2 live online classes per batch per week on alternate days
- Each class is 2 hours, conducted via Zoom/Google Meet
- Upload full class recordings to the private group on the same day
- Conduct weekly mini-tests and in-class activities every week
- Use creative presentations and real-life examples to keep students engaged
- Respond to student queries on WhatsApp outside class hours
- Track attendance and proactively support struggling students
- Deliver consistently — no missed duties, no excuses
WHO YOU ARE
- Proficient in Japanese — N2 or N1 level strongly preferred; N3 considered with strong teaching experience
- Familiar with Genki, Minna no Nihongo, and/or Irodori curriculam
- Strong at grammar explanation and conversational Japanese
- Fluent in English and Hindi
- Cheerful, patient, and energetic — great with students
- Experienced managing online batches of 15+ students
- Comfortable with Zoom, Google Meet, Telegram, and Excel
- Self-driven, consistent, and takes responsibilities seriously
- Comfortable with your face or class recordings being used on JWA Kihon's social media for promotional purposes (please note this before applying)
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stable high-speed internet — no lag during class
- Working camera — clearly visible on screen at all times
- disturbance-free teaching environment
- Good lighting and clear, audible audio
Applications with setups that don't meet these standards will not move forward.
OUR CORE MISSION
Student retention is everything. We extend batch timelines by 15–20 days if needed to ensure every student completes the program — and we compensate for those extra days. Your job is to make every student feel capable, supported, and motivated to keep going.
PERFORMANCE
Classes may be observed at any time for quality assurance. Performance reviews are part of the role. Full details will be outlined in the contract.
