Job Summary
We are seeking an 3+ years experienced Works Manager – Service Centre to lead workshop operations for commercial vehicles. The role is responsible for achieving service revenue targets, ensuring high productivity of bays and technicians, maintaining quality standards, and delivering superior customer satisfaction in line with OEM guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Operations
- Manage end-to-end service centre operations (General Service, Repairs, Warranty, Accident jobs).
- Achieve monthly RO (Repair Order) and revenue targets.
- Ensure optimum bay utilization and technician productivity.
- Monitor TAT (Turnaround Time) and reduce vehicle idle time.
Revenue & Profitability
- Drive labour revenue, spare parts billing, and value-added services.
- Control workshop expenses and improve gross margins.
- Monitor job estimates and approval processes.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure first-time-right repairs.
- Handle customer complaints and escalation cases.
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) score.
Manpower Management
- Lead Service Advisors, Supervisors, Technicians, and Support Staff.
- Monitor individual productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct daily review meetings and performance tracking.
Inventory & Warranty Control
- Coordinate with spare parts team for parts availability.
- Ensure proper warranty claim processing as per OEM norms.
- Reduce repeat repairs and warranty rejections.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain workshop discipline and safety standards.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained properly.

Qualification
- Diploma / BE – Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (Degree certificate is Mandatory)
- Preferred - Additional certification in workshop management
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years in leadership role (Works Manager)
- Preferred - Experience in OEM or Authorized Service Centre (Not Mandatory)
