Key Responsibilities
- Receive and handle gold jewellery carefully as per company procedures.
- Check and record the weight of gold ornaments accurately.
- Assist in gold purity testing and appraisal.
- Identify basic gold purity levels such as 18K, 20K, 22K and 24K.
- Check jewellery for hallmark, stones, and other materials.
- Assist in calculating net gold weight after applicable deductions.
- Support the Gold Appraiser/Senior Staff during customer transactions.
- Maintain proper records of gold received, evaluated, and released.
- Ensure safe custody and handling of customer jewellery.
- Assist customers with basic queries related to gold appraisal and valuation.
- Follow company SOPs, security procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Identify and immediately report suspicious or doubtful jewellery.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the gold appraisal area.
- Perform other gold-related operational duties assigned by the Branch Manager.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of gold and jewellery.
- Knowledge of gold weighing and purity is preferred.
- Good numerical and calculation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Honest, reliable, and responsible.
- Good customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily target
