We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / QA Executive who can take ownership of product quality across the complete application lifecycle. The ideal candidate should go beyond basic UI testing and be comfortable investigating web applications, APIs, browser behavior, performance issues, security concerns, and complex application defects.
You will work closely with developers, project managers, product stakeholders, and other team members in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Functional & End-to-End Testing
- Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform smoke, sanity, exploratory, boundary, and edge-case testing.
- Validate application functionality across different browsers, devices, environments, and user roles.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects through to successful resolution.
- Ensure adequate test coverage before releases and deployments.
2. Web Application Testing
- Test modern web applications developed using React.js and Next.js.
- Validate SSR, SSG, hydration, rendering, responsiveness, and page-loading behavior.
- Identify UI inconsistencies, layout shifts, browser-specific issues, and client-side failures.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Test PWA functionality, including:
- Service workers
- Cache Storage
- Offline functionality
- Browser storage
- Application updates
- Installation behavior
3. API & Backend Testing
- Perform comprehensive REST API testing using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Validate HTTP status codes, request/response payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, and authorization.
- Perform positive, negative, boundary, integration, and data-validation testing.
- Verify API error handling and response consistency.
- Identify API reliability, data integrity, and performance issues.
- Validate API contracts against documented specifications.
4. Performance & Browser Diagnostics
- Use Chrome/Firefox Developer Tools to investigate complex application issues.
- Analyze:
- Network requests
- Network waterfalls
- API payloads
- Console errors
- Application storage
- Cache behavior
- Performance metrics
- Perform basic memory and heap profiling.
- Investigate excessive memory usage, potential memory leaks, detached DOM elements, and inefficient client-side behavior.
- Work with developers to identify the root cause of performance-related issues.
5. Security & Compliance Testing
- Validate authentication, authorization, RBAC, and session management.
- Verify that users can access only the functionality and data permitted by their roles.
- Check for unnecessary exposure of sensitive information through:
- Browser storage
- APIs
- Logs
- URLs
- Client-side telemetry
- Support QA activities related to security and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to healthcare, fintech, SaaS, or other regulated applications will be an advantage.
6. Defect Management & QA Documentation
- Create clear, detailed, and actionable defect reports.
- Include:
- Steps to reproduce
- Expected result
- Actual result
- Environment
- Logs
- Screenshots/videos
- Network evidence where required
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes.
- Create and maintain:
- Test cases
- Test scenarios
- Regression suites
- QA checklists
- Test reports
- QA documentation
7. Agile Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with developers, project managers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Contribute to release planning and quality assessments.
- Identify gaps in existing QA processes and recommend improvements.
- Help establish and maintain effective QA standards, practices, and testing strategies.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in web application testing and API testing.
- Good understanding of React.js and Next.js applications.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman.
- Experience working with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Functional Testing

- Good understanding of browser Developer Tools, particularly:

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with defect tracking/project management tools such as Jira, Zoho, or Asana.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with development and project teams.
Good to Have
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of API automation and test scripting.
- Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA integration.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, or other compliance standards.
- Experience testing healthcare, fintech, SaaS, or security-sensitive applications.
- Experience with PWAs, service workers, browser caching, and offline functionality.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and modern web architectures.
