Role Objective
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive to expand our footprint in the B2B solar market. Your primary focus will be driving sales of our core product portfolio—including high-efficiency Solar Panels, Inverters, and PM Surya Ghar Solar Kits—specifically targeting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies across Chennai and the surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Client Acquisition: Identify and onboard new EPC companies, solar integrators, and contractors to establish long-term supply partnerships.
- Product Promotion: Actively pitch our range of solar panels and inverters, with a specific focus on the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana kits for residential and commercial aggregators.
- Channel Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing EPC partners, ensuring RPPL Solar is their preferred vendor for upcoming projects.
- Technical Sales: Provide basic technical consultations regarding product specifications, compatibility, and the advantages of our hardware in various on-grid and off-grid configurations.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on MNRE guidelines, state-specific subsidies (TANGEDCO), and competitor pricing to position our products effectively.
- Sales Lifecycle Management: Handle the end-to-end process from lead generation and site visits (where required) to quotation, negotiation, and closing.
- Reporting: Maintain a clear CRM/spreadsheet of leads, follow-ups, and conversion metrics for review by the management team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience specifically within the solar industry.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar components (Panels, Inverters, BOS) and the operational framework of EPC companies.
- Local Expertise: Deep familiarity with the Chennai solar market and industrial hubs.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills in English and Tamil.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (Electrical/Renewable Energy preferred).
- Travel: Must be willing to travel locally within Chennai and all over tamilnadu for client meetings.
