Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Captain to oversee dining room operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The Captain leads the service team during shifts, maintains high service standards, and acts as a liaison between guests, servers, and management. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent hospitality skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate dining room staff during service
- Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service
- Assist with seating arrangements and table assignments
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues efficiently
- Train and mentor servers and support staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health/safety regulations
- Support management with daily reports and shift operations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant experience required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food, beverages, and service standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Fine dining experience
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Wine and beverage knowledge is a plus
