Salary: ₹22,000 – ₹32,000 / month (Negotiable based on hands-on skills)
About the Role:
We are a growing precision engineering and metrology lab looking for an experienced CMM / Faro Arm Operator to join our team. If you have practical experience with coordinate measuring machines (especially Faro arms), fixture setups, and standard workshop gauges, we would love to have you on board.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Faro Arm / CMM for contact probing, part alignment, and dimensional inspection.
Inspect components, tooling, and fixtures using precision instruments (Height Gauges, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Plug & Pin Gauges).
Read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings along with standard GD&T callouts (flatness, parallelism, true position, runout, etc.).
Perform probe calibration, component setup on fixtures, and generate clear inspection/deviation reports.
Collaborate with the reverse engineering team and gain hands-on exposure to advanced metrology workflows (PolyWorks / scanning).
Requirements & Qualifications:
Hands-on Experience: 1.5 to 3 years operating Faro Arm or Coordinate Measuring Machines in a Quality Lab, Machine Shop, or Tool Room.
Practical Skills: Comfortable with probe qualification, part clamping, and handling standard shop floor gauges.
Drawings: Good understanding of 2D manufacturing drawings and GD&T symbols.
Software: Experience with Faro CAM2, PolyWorks, or standard metrology software (training will be provided for new platforms).
Education: ITI (Machinist / Tool & Die) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
