We are looking for a proactive and analytical Operational Manager & Analyst to oversee day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement within our UK Based Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving efficiency, and using data to make informed business decisions.
You will work closely with management and production teams to streamline processes, monitor performance, implement lean manufacturing practices, and ensure operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational waste.
- Monitor, analyse, and report key operational KPIs across production, quality, inventory, and dispatch.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and management reports.
- Establish and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and logistics teams to optimise operations.
- Analyse production data, labour utilisation, machine efficiency, and operational costs.
- Support production planning, inventory control, and resource allocation.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Assist senior management with operational planning, business analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, production management, or business analysis.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, KPI monitoring or Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret data and convert insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or factory operations is preferred.
