Ensure smooth, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of the Thermal Power Plant by executing effective electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance practices.
Supporting Actions:

Supervise and execute all maintenance activities of DG, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.

Schedule and perform preventive maintenance in SAP for timely upkeep of equipment.

Monitor departmental activities to ensure timely completion of jobs.

Coordinate procurement of materials required for maintenance and project execution.

Execute project related jobs as per action plan for timely commissioning.

Plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities with proper documentation.

Monitor electrical auxiliary consumption and maintain accurate records.

Adopt WCM practices to ensure defect free, pollution free, and safe work environments.

Generate, implement, and monitor continuous improvements in DG E&I systems.

Feed all maintenance data and job completion details into SAP.

Prepare daily records of power generation and distribution.

Execute operations and maintenance activities as per ISO & EMS standards.

Ensure all statutory compliances are completed within the defined action plan.
Key Result Expected:
Operate and maintain the plant in a cost efficient manner to achieve minimum cost of power generation.
Supporting Actions:

Control overtime through effective scheduling of shift and maintenance activities.

Rearrange and optimize shift duties in case of absenteeism.
-
Ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and resources to reduce operational expenses.
Key Result Expected:
Ensure smooth, trouble free plant operation through effective coordination between maintenance and operations teams.
Supporting Actions:

Coordinate with shift engineers during emergencies to ensure quick response and resolution.

Coordinate with switchboard operators at DG and TPP to optimize generator loading.

Work collaboratively with operations, instrumentation, and mechanical teams for troubleshooting.

Ensure optimum TG/DG load sharing with the cement plant process.
-
Act as shift in charge when required, ensuring Zero Fatality & Zero LTI in E&I operations at the DG house.

Achieve 100% compliance with safety standards and contribute to sustainable operations.

Ensure adherence to all statutory and company safety standards.

Educate team members on job responsibilities, hazards, control measures, and escalation protocols.

Conduct scheduled SO rounds and report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.

Conduct daily Toolbox Talks and ensure SWP adherence, especially for critical jobs.
-
Participate actively in safety trainings, sub committees, and safety events.
-
Ensure good housekeeping and report abnormalities such as leakages of water, oil, air, etc.

Promote sustainable practices, resource conservation, and environmental protection.
Key Result Expected:
Ensure effective implementation of IMS, WCM, and other system requirements for continual improvement.

Implement improvement projects to reduce repetitive breakdowns and operational losses.

Submit Kaizens, OPLs, Good to Find, and other system-level improvement suggestions on time.

Sustain and develop Model Areas within the assigned section.

Participate actively in KFA & GRT meetings; recommend new technologies and innovations.

Conduct awareness programs for team members on IMS and other system requirements.

Maintain required documents to avoid non conformities in internal/external audits.

Ensure adherence to critical spares & consumables SOP without deviation.

Identify, monitor, and correct leakage points, unsafe conditions, and emission issues.
