We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to prepare accurate 2D drawings and layouts for ELV and Fire Protection Systems. The candidate will support the design and project teams by creating and modifying technical drawings in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings for ELV systems, including:
- Fire Alarm System (FAS)
- CCTV Surveillance System
- Access Control System (ACS)
- Public Address (PA) System
- Structured Cabling System
- Building Management System (BMS)
- Water Leak Detection (WLD) System
- Prepare Fire Protection drawings, including:
- Sprinkler System Layouts
- Hydrant System Layouts
- Pump Room Layouts
- Riser Diagrams
- Fire Fighting Equipment Layouts
- Coordinate with Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and Site Teams to incorporate project changes.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and schematic diagrams.
- Ensure drawings comply with NFPA, NBC, local authority, and client standards.
- Revise drawings based on consultant and client comments.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions.
- Prepare BOQ support drawings and coordinate with estimation and execution teams.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of ELV and Fire Protection Systems.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and layouts.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and project requirements.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Revit MEP, or BIM will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with NFPA, NBC, and relevant fire safety standards.
- Experience in Data Centre, Commercial, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects is preferred.
