Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrician to join our Solar Installation Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing electrical installations for residential, commercial, and industrial solar PV projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations. The candidate should be capable of leading installation activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and coordinating with site engineers to ensure timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
∙Execute electrical installation and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. ∙Install and terminate AC and DC cables, conduits, cable trays, and earthing systems. ∙Install, test, and commission solar inverters, net meters, distribution boards (DBs), and protection devices.
∙Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and wiring schematics.
∙Perform electrical testing using appropriate testing instruments and prepare commissioning reports.
∙Troubleshoot electrical faults and rectify issues during installation and maintenance. ∙Ensure all installations comply with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
∙Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and clients during site execution. ∙Maintain proper documentation of installation activities and material usage.
∙Lead junior electricians and installation technicians at project sites.
∙Ensure timely completion of assigned projects while maintaining quality standards. ∙Follow company safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Required Skills
∙Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
∙Experience in solar rooftop installation and commissioning.
∙Knowledge of electrical panels, MCBs, MCCBs, SPDs, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
∙Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
∙Good troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
∙Ability to work independently and lead a team.
∙Basic knowledge of electrical safety regulations.
∙Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Eligibility Criteria
∙Qualification: ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. ∙Experience: Minimum 2 years in electrical installation (solar industry experience preferred).
∙Driving Requirement: Two-wheeler is mandatory with a valid driving licence. ∙Willingness to travel to project sites across Kerala as required.
Preferred Qualifications
∙Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
∙Knowledge of net metering and electrical utility procedures.
∙Experience in inverter installation and commissioning.
∙Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as insulation testers, clamp meters, and mustimeters.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
