About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Head to lead and manage the organization's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing compliance strategies, mitigating regulatory risks, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's compliance and regulatory programs.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards and ensure timely implementation of required controls.
- Establish compliance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead internal compliance audits and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, data protection, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and industry-specific regulations.
- Investigate compliance violations, complaints, and ethical concerns.
- Prepare compliance reports and present findings to senior management and the board.
- Conduct employee compliance training and awareness programs.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage regulatory filings, licenses, certifications, and statutory documentation.
- Develop and maintain compliance monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree, LLB, CS, CA, MBA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Legal Compliance, or Regulatory Affairs.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance management systems.
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies, auditors, and government authorities.
- Excellent understanding of compliance risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in BFSI, FinTech, Insurance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, IT Services, or E-commerce sectors.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent.
- Experience implementing enterprise compliance management tools and governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, AML, KYC, GDPR, Data Privacy, and Information Security regulations.
