Job Description: Legal Executive / Paralegal – Agreements & Compliance
Role Overview
We are looking for a Legal Executive / Paralegal who can support the company in managing
agreements, legal documentation, compliance tracking and coordination with internal departments
and external lawyers.
The candidate should be detail-oriented, organised and capable of independently maintaining legal
records, agreement trackers, compliance calendars and first-level review of commercial documents.
The role will require regular follow-up with internal teams, vendors, landlords, consultants and
external legal advisors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Agreement Management
Maintain a complete tracker of all company agreements, including vendor agreements, mall
agreements, lease agreements, distributor agreements, service contracts, NDAs,
employment-related agreements and other commercial documents.
Review agreements at a first level and highlight key legal and commercial points such as
tenure, lock-in, notice period, termination, indemnity, liability, jurisdiction, renewal,
payment terms and penalties.
Prepare agreement summaries for management approval.
Coordinate with internal teams and external lawyers for drafting, review, negotiation and
closure of agreements.
Ensure proper execution, stamping, signing and storage of all agreements.
Track agreement expiry dates, renewal dates and notice period deadlines.
2. Compliance Management
Prepare and maintain a compliance calendar for all company-level requirements.
Coordinate for statutory and regulatory compliances such as ROC, GST, shop &
establishment, labour law, factory licences, legal metrology, trademark, FSSAI or other
applicable business compliances.
Follow up with concerned departments to ensure timely submission of documents and
completion of compliance tasks.
Maintain proper digital and physical records of licences, renewals, filings and approvals.
Escalate pending or critical compliance matters to management in a timely manner.
3. Legal Coordination
Coordinate with external lawyers, consultants, company secretary, auditors and other
advisors.
Assist in handling legal notices, disputes, vendor issues and documentation-related matters.
Prepare basic legal letters, authorisation letters, board resolution drafts, POAs and internal
notes wherever required.
Maintain confidentiality of all legal, commercial and company-sensitive documents.
4. Internal Process & Documentation
Create and maintain structured folders for all legal documents.
Prepare MIS reports for pending agreements, expiring agreements, compliance status and
legal matters.
Follow up with internal teams for pending inputs, documents and approvals.
Ensure that no agreement, renewal or compliance deadline is missed.
Required Skills
Good understanding of basic commercial agreements and legal clauses.
Strong drafting and communication skills.
Good follow-up ability with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills for maintaining trackers.
Ability to read agreements carefully and identify risk areas.
Organised, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Comfortable coordinating with multiple departments.
Ability to work independently and take ownership.
Preferred Experience
2–5 years of experience in legal documentation, paralegal work, agreement management or
compliance coordination.
Prior experience in a company, law firm, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, real estate, mall
leasing or corporate legal department will be preferred.
Experience with vendor agreements, lease agreements, mall agreements, distributor
agreements and compliance calendars will be an advantage.
Qualification
LLB / Legal studies background preferred.
Candidates with strong paralegal or legal documentation experience may also be considered
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
