About Us- Product
AuditSail is a compliance platform that uses AI to evaluate marketing content, call recordings, videos, images, and text, against regulatory guidelines. Our AI backend is a suite of Python microservices deployed on AWS, powered by models from OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, and others.
The Role
You'll work alongside our AI Lead on production backend services, focusing on:
- **Shared tooling** — Build an internal Python library that unifies common patterns (LLM clients, database wrappers, observability, alerting) used across our services
- **LLM reliability** — Integrate LiteLLM for multi-provider fallbacks, retries, and cost tracking so our AI calls degrade gracefully instead of failing hard
- **Automation & testing** — Improve and build pipelines, write tests for critical paths, and automate repetitive operational tasks
- **Feature work** — Contribute across our service suite as needed (bug fixes, new endpoints, performance improvements)
You Should Have
- Solid Python skills (async/await, type hints, standard library)
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
- Exposure to at least one LLM provider API
- Comfort navigating and contributing to an existing codebase
- Git workflow (branches, PRs)
- MongoDB or PostgreSQL
- Docker, AWS
- pytest or any testing framework
- Experience with LiteLLM, LangChain, or similar
- AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude)
