Job Summary
The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth business functioning, maintaining high service standards, handling customer concerns, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The role serves as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts and supports operational efficiency across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities during assigned shifts.
- Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, support, and motivation.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, and workforce allocation.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards.
- Handle emergency situations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Prepare operational reports, incident reports, and shift handover notes.
- Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment requirements.
- Support training and onboarding of new employees.
- Assist management in achieving operational goals and customer satisfaction targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in operations, hospitality, or customer service are an advantage.
Experience
- 3 + years of experience in operations, hospitality, retail, facility management, or customer service roles.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
