Role : CNC Setter
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years in CNC setting (hydraulic cylinder or heavy machining preferred)
Job Summary:
Responsible for setting up CNC machines for machining hydraulic cylinder components such as piston rods, tubes, glands, and end caps. Ensure production runs efficiently with required quality and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC turning / machining centers as per production plan
- Load and unload tools, fixtures, and raw materials
- Perform tool setting, offset correction, and program loading
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets
- Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure quality standards
- Monitor machine performance and adjust parameters if required
- Reduce cycle time and improve productivity
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors for smooth production
- Maintain 5S and safety standards in the work area
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance team
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of CNC turning machines (Fanuc/Siemens control preferred)
- Understanding of machining processes (turning, facing, threading, boring)
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments
(Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge)
- Knowledge of tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds
- Basic CNC program understanding (G-code)
